Concerning the Award:
The Master of Transportation Sciences is pleased to announce that we are now accepting applications for the ICP programme 2022 “ROAD SAFETY IN LOW & MIDDLE INCOME COUNTRIES.”
The International Course Programme (ICP) annually awards scholarships to twelve students from developing countries to pursue an MSc in Transportation Sciences (specialization: Road Safety). The program lasts two years and focuses on road safety in developing countries.
Students are taught to identify transportation and road safety issues in order to develop innovative solutions using an integrative approach based on three pillars: the individual (dealing with human behavior in traffic and how to influence it, e.g. intentional and unintentional risky behavior such as drunk driving or cognitive impairments), the environment (e.g. creating self-explanatory roads and infrastructure that reduces crash impact), and society (e.g. creating self-explanatory roads and infrastructure that reduces crash impact). In this program, road safety is handled as a multidisciplinary field that includes components of psychology, economics, urban planning, environmental studies, engineering, and more.
